Welcome to the Hazel Grove Blues website, we are an official Branch of the Manchester City Supporters Club (1949). Our home is currently The Conservative Club in Hazel Grove.

Brief History

The branch was formed back in March 1999 and since then we have grown steadily as each season has gone by. We now have over 240 members with an age span of between 1 years old through to 85 years young.

Some of our newer members might not know this but we were formed at a time when City were at their lowest ebb in footballing terms. City were in the old Division 2, at a time where betting sites were more likely to view the club as consistent relegation scrappers, rather than Championship contenders. Today being a City fan is an easier affair and the clubs footballing future seems as bright as it is secure. Hazel Grove however will always be about more than celebrating long term success, as we have been Sky Blue’s long enough to know that there is always a rainy day just around the corner! We will look to share knowledge and love for the club as long as we can.

'The age spectrum is wonderful, as it gives us, as a branch a lovely family atmosphere and with the added bonus of tapping into some great knowledge about our beloved team'

Branch Meetings

We always meet at 8pm on the third Tuesday of every month at The Conservative Club, (unless other wise stated). The meetings usually last approximately 40 minutes and cover all topics relating to the club.

We regularly have special guests attend our meetings by invitation, these nights are special and tend to last most of the evening. Recent guests include, Gary Owen, Alex Williams MBE, Brian Horton, Ian Brightwell, David White, Tommy Booth, Andy Morrison, Rodney Marsh, Peter Barnes, Ian Cheesman and the king himself, Colin Bell MBE. For information on forthcoming guests, please see the news page.
